EXPRESS opened, and I was there for the opening. It was packed and sales staff were extremely helpful/friendly. I am not gonna pass by till the craze of the "new" shop ease!

I found three Kuwait-based websites that sells it;

Our of curiosity, I searched some US based websites for a price and found it in Wishing Fish selling for USD14.95.... That is KWD4.000 for you ;-)

Phone Update

No, I did not buy a new one... still have the same ole phone... but found a new toy! LOL

I am trying the phones I asked about virtually.... and its so useful, but still I have to physically test it! I have no idea why I am making a BIG deal about buying a new phone!

Totally Random

I went to the avenues earlier with my sisters and a friend to have brunch at Le Pain Quotidien. Nice quiehe t Saturday morning, but it got crowded towards the end of our stay! Basically we went in and ate, then shopped around... my foot hurt now... and my bank cards as well LOL!

There was some sort of Circus tour/show thing in Phase II too.

I am now home to refuel and rest before I meet up with another friend, and then again going to another friend's house at night to take her to the airport!

I have noticed how people are either too mean on the road or just plain idiots! When I give signals they flash their lights from VERY far behind me... in a way saying "DON'T YOU DARE SWITCH LANES!" Or people in front of me decide to switch lanes for no good reason and drive REALLY slow! Its so friggin annoying!

Our driver has been getting on my nerves lately! He have been taking me to work and picking me up since Late May... Lately he is asking me dumb questions;

Isaac: Go to second ring road or third?
Ansam: Isaac.... just take our usual rout please
Isaac: through road 35?
Ansam: yes please
Isaac: Ok from 35, do I go to second or third?
Ansam: Isaac... you know what? Up to you! Just take me home!

We've been having this conversation all last week for some odd reason!


On another note, have you seen girls... I am talking teens, young teens... wearing tons of make up and lots of eyeshadow? They look like drag queens!! I mean a drag queen wouldn't be caught dead looking like them! I think how on earth could someone wear THAT much make up? And how on earth would this much make up stay put in this melting weather?

Yeah.... Apparently there is another series that everybody is watching beside Noor called Lamees? While I was in the Avenues, two guys walked by and one was talking on the phone and he stopped and looked at me and said.. Oh! Lamees lookalike! I got puzzled since I only heard of Noor, so my sister is like no its another show! That got me pissed! How childish can passing by strangers be!!! And am I the only one in Kuwait not watching Noor or Lamees or whatever?

OK... now I am off to have some family quality time before I leave again :-) Enjoy the snaps and the video clip!

My Phone

I bought my phone back in March of 2007... its acting up all weird on me now.... I dropped it few times... accidently! I love it so much and so used to it, it is my second Sony Ericsson (ever since I used SE... I've decided not to switch back to Nokia) so any recommendation for a new phone?

Shopping!

Today -the day after my cousin's wedding- was so much fun :-) I spent it with some family members who came down to Kuwait for the wedding. We were waiting outside their hotel waiting for them when we realized that our car -according to the navigator- is standing on the sea!!! (Check the pic above!) LOL

We drove down Gulf Road and snapped some pics of Kuwait Towers -I snapped a couple my self (again check the pic above)

First we headed to Sharq area and shopped in Arraya Center and Dar Al Awadi, then headed to The Avenues. I had so much fun, I hope our guests enjoyed it as much as we did hehehehe.

Today is the last post for May -if I dont post later in the day- and I have a new theme for June posts ;-)

Avenues Phase II

So far, I have been there three times, and I like it... except for those "decorational" mirrors on the walls! Its making it cheap looking.

I also like the stores in Phase II... like? hmm I mean LOVE! LOL

Earlier today I went shopping with my friend and I like the new additions to my wardrobe/closet :-D

Food court? Hmmmm Auntie Anne's Pretzel opened! YUMMMM hehehehe and there are a lot of yummy goodies too, such as LOfat, and Baskin Robbins :-D and best of all, Caribou Cafe (still not opened :-()

To say the least... I am loving it :-D

Shampoo Needed!

I have been using Kanebo Shampoo for the longest time ever, I switch between the Deep Cleansing and Moisturizing ones... its been few months now since the Deep Cleansing one disappeared! I keep looking for it but all of the salespeople tell me that they are out of it (I dont know if the product is discontinued to begin with... if so, why dont they just tell me so!)

If you find out where they are selling it please let me know! Its the dark blue one that I am looking for (deep cleansing)

AMULETTO

I was invited to to go view the new collection of AMULETTO in the Avenues. I passed by yesterday and left with a very nice turquoise bracelet and a huge smile of satisfaction on my face. I even wore it on the spot hehehe.

BCBG Kuwait = Big Crooks Big Gyp

I went to Arraya Center last night and dropped by BCBG... BIG mistake!

I bought this dress, this shoe, and this bag.

My total was around KWD 364

And if you add up all these items from the links I provided.. they total to USD 871.60 (which is equivelant to KWD 238.909)

Thats over KWD 100 difference! BCBG Kuwait SUCKS! Who agrees?

GOD! Can I just return them all!!!!

I was browsing ZDistricts blog and fell in love instantly with "The Slanket".
It is basically a blanket that you actually wear! Very cool huh? It comes in nine colors and sells for USD 44.95!! It is made for me! I swear! When watching TV I find it hard to share my blanket! LOL

Emergency Shopping Place Needed

Unique Online Services in Kuwait

Kuwaitis love the convenience. They do!! We have so many online shopping services for various categories! You will be surprise, I swear!!

I personally use 6alabat a lot to order meals at work or at home. Its awesome and easy to use, specially that you can modify your order (i.e. no tomatoes, brown bread instead of white, extra dressing..etc)... and to avoid talking to them is a plus for me! I will for sure get my order right on papers instead of them saying I heard you saying something else.

There is also Taw9eel online grocery shopping site. I have never used that one YET! But I think it can come in handy in some specific situations such as someone with a broken leg, sick, or an older lady that cannot leave the house or cannot drive. I would much better rather go myself since I sometimes find it hard to remember brands of the things I usually buy. I am more of a visual person.

Another interesting online store in Kuwait is eBuyQ8. Can you guess their service? Its an online FISH market! Yes you read that right... FISH!! heehee. Shop for fresh fish, shrimps, crab... you name it!

But the email I got earlier scored #1! Its an online home labor Services called Q8Khadam. How about that for an online service? House maids, cooks, drivers, nurses, farmers, and many more!

So any other interesting and unique online shops you know in Kuwait?
