"Gather Ye Rosebuds While Ye May" is a poem by Robert Herrick. This poem portrays our existence on earth, and that people age as life goes on, and everything becomes boundless. Herrick here urges people to take advantage of youth and energy while they may! The poem is in the genre of carpe diem, to seize the day.

Stock Market Freefall... Where is the Bottom?

So how does this really work? Is it a global meltdown? When the US stock exchange/markets catch a flu... the rest of the world starts coughing and sniffling?

So how about Contrarian Theory? I really am not an expert hehehe but how about that? Invest NOW!!!

Example: Dogs of the Dow is arguably an example of a simple contrarian strategy. When purchasing the stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average that have the highest relative dividend yield, an investor is often buying many of the "distressed" companies among those 30 stocks. These "Dogs" have high yields not because dividends were raised, but rather because their share prices fell. The company is experiencing difficulties, or simply is at a low point in their business cycle. By repeatedly buying such stocks, and selling them when they no longer meet the criteria, the "Dogs" investor is systematically buying the least-loved of the Dow 30, and selling them when they become loved again.

During the Dot com bubble an investor would have profited by avoiding the technology stocks that were the subject of most investors' attention. Asset classes such as value stocks and real estate investment trusts were largely ignored by the financial press at the time, despite their historically low valuations, and many mutual funds in those categories lost assets. These investments experienced strong gains amidst the large drops in the overall US stock market when the bubble unwound.

Israel

Do you know the literal meaning of Israel?

It is a common mistakes that Muslims and Arabs curse at Israel, which is clearly wrong if you read the following....

Etymology
*********
Over the past three thousand years, the name "Israel" has meant in common and religious usage both the Land of Israel and the entire Jewish nation. The name originated from a verse in the Bible (Genesis, 32:28) where Jacob is renamed Israel after successfully wrestling with an angel of God. Commentators differ on the meaning of the name. Some say the name comes from the verb śarar ("to rule, be strong, have authority over"), thereby making the name mean "God rules" or "God judges". Other possible meanings include "the prince of God" (from the King James Version) or "El fights/struggles". Regardless of the precise meaning of the name, the biblical nation fathered by Jacob thus became the "Children of Israel" or the "Israelites".

The first historical mention of the word "Israel" is in the Merneptah Stele of ancient Egypt (dated the late 13th century BCE), although scholars disagree on whether it refers to a people or a homeland. The modern country was named Medinat Yisrael, or the State of Israel, after other proposed names, including Eretz Israel ("the Land of Israel"), Zion, and Judea, were rejected. In the early weeks of independence, the government chose the term "Israeli" to denote a citizen of Israel, with the formal announcement made by Minister of Foreign Affairs Moshe Sharett.

Green Screen

Will this really help saving the planet?

I received this by email some time ago... Thanks MunMun
Ansam
PS: Check their link on wikipedia
*****************

Here's an easy way to start saving the planet by helping to reduce your carbon foot-print...

If Google had a black screen, taking in account the huge number of page views, according to calculations, 750 mega watts/hour per year would be saved.

In response Google created a black version of its search engine, called Blackle (http://www.blackle.com), with the exact same functions as the white version, but obviously with lower energy consumption:

Help spread the word..... Use Blackle

Use this as your new search engine and save energy.

Parted-at-Birth Twins 'Married' .... SERIOUSLY!

A pair of twins who were adopted by separate families as babies got married without knowing they were brother and sister, a peer told the House of Lords.

A court annulled the British couple's union after they discovered their true relationship, Lord Alton said.

The peer - who heard of the case from a judge who was involved - said the twins felt an "inevitable attraction".

He said the case showed how important it was for children to be able to find out about their biological parents.

Details of the identities of the twins involved have been kept secret, but Lord Alton said the pair did not realise they were related until after their marriage.

To read further, click here.

So I know many of you are hoping that they just made out and never did "it" but really! Whats the likelihood of such scenario!!! Imagine the aftermath of that and all the help they will need to get over it! God!

So think of the effect of the sperm banks now! I strongly believe people in this era should do DNA testing before getting married in places with such "banks"! It is disgusting! Its like saying... before we fall in love, let's do a DNA test! I mean come on! SERIOUSLY!

Pranic Healing

PRANIC HEALING is a highly developed and tested system of energy based healing techniques that utilizes “prana” to balance, harmonize and transform the body’s energy processes. “Prana” is a Sanskrit word that means “life-force”. This invisible bio-energy or vital energy keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health. In acupuncture, the Chinese refer to this subtle energy as “Chi”. It is also called “Ruah” or the “Breath of Life” in the Old Testament. Pranic Healing is a simple yet powerful and effective no-touch energy healing. It is based on the fundamental principle that the body is a “self-repairing” living entity that possesses the innate alaility to heal itself.
