"Gather Ye Rosebuds While Ye May" is a poem by Robert Herrick. This poem portrays our existence on earth, and that people age as life goes on, and everything becomes boundless. Herrick here urges people to take advantage of youth and energy while they may! The poem is in the genre of carpe diem, to seize the day.

Movie Ad

I went to see Ratatouille a couple of days ago and saw Al Watan TV ad on Kuwait. Basically the ad takes you from Gulf Road where the Marina Mall bridge is to the boat marina and the hotel itself, to Kuwait Towers, then some Kuwaiti water towers, onward to the Liberation tower.. the scenes changes from a tower to another, malls, hotel, roads... its not bad! I just dont like it enough!!!! Why? Well... it concentrates on looks of modern Kuwait only, and neglect the scenes I like such as Kuwaiti Old Gates (famous front doors of old Kuwait, the ones that used to protect Kuwait in the old times)! Also, it would not hurt to see some old dhows (AKA booom = old boats) in the ad maybe with some pearl hunting and fishing.. its part of our history. And what about Jahra Palace? This is all part of our culture and heritage! Its nice to show both rather than just concentrate on racing sports car on Gulf Road next to Marina Mall! Dont you agree?
